Sara Hawken is a certified Adult Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in dermatology. She has over 15 years of clinical nursing experience and is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Dermatology Nurses’ Association and Sigma Theta Tau. She was chosen as the prestigious President’s Award Recipient in 2014 for the “Highest Standards of Clinical Excellence” from Augusta Medical Group in Fishersville, VA. She has a nursing degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and a Master’s degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. As an ROTC graduate she served 5 years as a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force Nurse Corps.
She lives in Charlottesville with her husband, 4 sons, and baby daughter. She multi-tasks too much, but tries to find the time to read and cook when possible.
