Stem cell exosomes are derived from carefully selected bone marrow donors. All DNA material is removed, leaving just the growth factors but at an extraordinary concentration. When injected into the scalp, these exosomes signal proteins to turn on regenerative mechanisms. Results are amazing and hair is growing at rates not seen in the past.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT DURING A TREATMENT SESSION
We recommend clients wash their hair prior. We will ask clients not to wash their hair until the next day after the treatment. Topical and injectable numbing will be used to minimize discomfort and pain during the procedure. Once numbed, your provider will inject the exosomes directly into your scalp. Microneedling is performed afterwards to further distribute the exosomes and promote wound healing.
No hair products or hats after the procedure that day but it is ok prior to the procedure. It is ok to exercise - we recommend only light activity after a procedure. Sweating is ok. Hair coloring does not affect the hair follicle itself and is safe. We recommend that clients start men’s strength Rogaine foam 5% after the treatment 1-2 times per day as it increases the effectiveness and the results are improved.
RESULTS
One single treatment has the potential to last 18 months. A second treatment can also be performed 6 months after the first one. This treatment method is perfect for our busy patients, as much fewer visits to our clinic are needed than PRP hair rejuvenation.
HAIR REJUVENATION
WITH PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP)
Hair rejuvenation with platelet rich plasma, known as PRP, is a non-surgical, therapeutic treatment for hereditary hair loss. The process involves withdrawing a person’s own blood, developing it so only the enriched cells (platelet rich plasma) remain, and injecting it into the scalp. These cells contain growth factors and essential proteins that promote healing and stimulate hair growth.
PRP’s safety has been established in the medical field for over two decades and has been used in other specialties such as orthopedics, cardiovascular surgery, sports medicine, cosmetic dermatology, and more. PRP cannot bring dead hair follicles back to life. It works best for early hair loss where it can rejuvenate miniaturized hair follicles into ones that can produce hair.
HOW DOES PRP WORK?
PRP works by stimulating inactive hair follicles into an active growth phase. Your blood contains small cells called platelets that contain specific growth factors that, when “activated”, promote tissue regeneration and healing. Local anesthesia using Lidocaine mixed with epinephrine is administered to the scalp so the patient feels little to no pain.

Along with the benefit of using your own tissue therefore eliminating allergies, it has been proven to be safe with minimal risk and short recovery time. Studies have shown an increase in hair density as well as stimulation of overall growth.
RESULTS
Individual results may vary. Current medical literature contains numerous optimistic results. PRP should not be considered a “cure” for hair loss and no guarantee can be made about its individual effectiveness. It begins with three treatments spaced approximately one month apart with maintenance treatments every 6 months. It may take 6 months to see full results.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
PRP has been proven to be safe for most individuals between the ages of 25-80. There are very few contraindications, however a screening consultation will be done to assess for any other potential medical causes of hair loss and to determine appropriateness for treatment with PRP. Patients taking aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) such as Ibuprofen, or Prednisone will need to discontinue use for 7 days prior to treatment. We recommend that you wash your hair prior to appointment since you will not be able to wash your hair for six hours after procedure. You will not be able to wear a hat for 24 hours following procedure.
